

WIC is a federally funded, state administered, supplemental food program for pregnant women, infants, and children under the age of 5 (hence the name "WIC"). WIC provides basic nutritious foods such as milk, cheese, eggs, beans, peanut butter, enriched and fortified cereals, juice and infant formula.* Nutrition and breastfeeding education and counseling is also provided. Eligibility for the program is based on financial and health need. There is no cost to the client.
