Death Certificates are available for deaths that have occurred in Flagler County from 1978 to present.
Certificates are available on a walk in basis. They are $10 each.
Restrictions:
Certificates are public record and anyone may obtain certified copies, which do not show the cause of death information. Certified copies of death certificates, which show the cause of death may only be issued to the deceased’s spouse or parent, or the deceased’s child, grandchild, or sibling, if of legal age, or to any family member who provides a will, insurance policy, or other document that demonstrates the family member’s interest in the estate of the deceased, or to any person who provides documentation that he or she is acting on behalf of any of them, or by court order directing to whom a death record may be issued. Cause of death information becomes public information 50 years following the death.

Birth Certificates are available for all Florida births. They are $15.00 for the first and 7.00 each additional at time of original request.
Restrictions:
Certificates can be issued only to the registrant (the child named on the record) if of legal age (18), parent, guardian or legal representative of one of those persons or by court order. In the case of a deceased registrant, upon receipt of the death certificate of the decedent, birth certificate can be issued to the spouse, child, grandchild, sibling, if of legal age, or a legal representative of any of these persons, as well as to the parent.
