The objective of the Swimming Pools & Bathing Places program is to reduce the transmission of disease and to reduce injuries to the patrons of public swimming pools and bathing places.  After construction approval from department engineering staff, the Flagler County Health Department issues annual operating permits for public swimming pools and bathing places and conducts routine inspections 2 times per year to ensure compliance with safety standards.
