The objective of this program is to monitor and investigate potential indicators of various types of communicable diseases in the community, identify the various types of communicable diseases through laboratory confirmation, and to notify the public of the potential health risks associated with the identified disease and the preventative measures that can be taken to reduce the likelihood of exposure.
