The objective of the Onsite Sewage Treatment and Disposal Systems program is to provide for safe and sanitary treatment and disposal of domestic and commercial sewage waste and septage in areas not served by public sewage systems. The goal of the program is to protect public health by reducing the potential for the spread of infectious disease from improperly built or maintained onsite sewage treatment and disposal systems.
