Flagler County Health Department has scheduled a H1N1 Flu Clinic this Saturday, January 30, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Health Department.  By Appointment or Walk-Ins.  To make an appointment call (386) 437-7350 ext. 2261 or for more information ext. 2244.

The Flagler County Health Department promotes and protects the health and safety of all people in Flagler County through the delivery of quality public health services and the promotion of health care standards.

The Flagler County Health Department provides core Public Health Services such as: Children’s and Adult Immunizations (including flu and travel shots), Women’s Health services (Family Planning and Maternity care), Child Health Check Ups, Tuberculosis and Refugee Health Services, Sexually Transmitted Disease services, Adult and child Primary Care, Environmental Health and pediatric Dental care.

FCHD monitors the health status of Flagler County through data collection and Epidemiology services. We inform, educate and empower people about health issues. (Nutrition counseling, Step Up, Florida, Health Fairs)

FCHD can link people to health care services when otherwise unavailable. We have an AIDS Drug Assistance Program. We enforce laws and regulations that protect public health and ensure safety. Environmental Health and Epidemiology investigate health problems and health hazards in the community.

Public Health plays and integral role in our county Disaster response plan. We staff and manage the Special Needs Shelters during hurricane response and are prepared to respond to a naturally occurring epidemic or act of biological terrorism.
